problem with newere mp3s?

most of my mp3s play for a couple seconds then make wierd sound. its sounds really lod and sckratchy and i canoot play more than 10-15 secs of an mp3. in Winamp, and then the "bitrate" counter goes nuts and the whole song starts skipping and playing gibberish. This also happens if I fast forward or scan through the song. any ideas? i tried windows media player winamp quicktime

its not the player its the song, happens to me too.

They sound like they have been downloaded from kazaa or another file sharing network. The RIAA are known to "fill up" these networks with songs that start off fine, but then screetch and scratch throughout. This is supposed to discourage people trying to download songs. Most of the newer tracks have this "protection" on them...

any song i d/l dats like this i jsut get one emule and d/l it, comes out fine but takes longer.

yep kazaa did this 99% of the time, I switched to winMX and have yet to encounter this problem. :>

IRC is tooo hard

you have to like seek out your song, go looking for it then when you find it you have to use the xdcc command...all for one song or album...

Yeah winmx is awesome for mp3s. I highly recommend you give it a try.

also try a music-only p2p program called CLEAN BLUBSTER. dl it off kazaa. i heard it has NO fake songs, but i never actually dled off it cuz i could never connect. it just hangs or something. well maybe it connect better wit a broadband connenction! well i suggest you try it! and theres also a website dedicated to p2p. its called zeropaid. its a great site wit a lot of useful info.
