I'm looking too buy a new printer, but I really don't know where to start.

1)Has to be cheap, not looking to spend much on one.

2)Quality, I'm not expecting great things, especially for a cheap printer, as long as it's durable and prints well.

3)Has to have very cheap Ink cartridges, since I'll be using it a lot. That was the demise of my last printer.
    Black Ink = $59.99 Coloured = $59.00 (Canadian)

4)Printing tasks - Daily stuff along with some DVD/CD labels.

Also, what's a good application for making labels for CD's?

If you are looking to get an inkjet, then you're basically out of luck, because they tend to sell those cheaper and get their profits from the inks.

Go for Canon, Epson or HP.

Arrrrrrrrrr, Cannon and HP are tops if ya ask me. Again if it be fer like small business or just everyday home use, ye might be better off paying a bit extra and gettin' a Quad Cartridge style inkjet printer. Tis what I have cuz I do lots of photo printing, DVD/CD Labels and covers so I do.
