Below are a few specs of the PS3 ,(according to inquirer.net)
1. The PS3 shall have "cells" , each cell containing CPU's & 8 APUs
with 128 K of memory
2. It will run at 4GHz , producing 256Gflops, with the cells
connected to the central 64MB memory through a switched 1024bit bus.
3. The number of cells is unknown, but Sony hinted, a while back,
that it could total as much as one teraflops, suggesting a four cell
architecture.

The question is, the specs look good now, but will they be able to
compete with the PC game standards at the time of its release?
Pentium has already broken the 3GHZ barrier... & the mother of
graphics cards - the GeForce FX is just over the horizon. PS3 shall
have its work cut out for it.
