Is there a place where we can talk about if there will be a 3.60+ CFW? Every thread that talks about it gets deleted.
I am just wondering if one is being worked on, etc. I hope this does not annoy any older members. Regards.

because it is not happening ever. -- live with it!
Thank you. I can see why they get deleted. I don't understand though that they cracked the 3.41 fw, but why won't they eventually crack other fw's? Let's say the last OFW update comes out in 3-4 years. Wouldn't someone be able to eventually find a way to make a CFW, say 1-2 years after that?
Sorry if I'm sounding foolish. I appreciate any input you all might have.
The thing people should understand is that. Sony fixed their mistake. Plain & simple. Some people want CFW for their consoles that are on 3.56+OFW. How will that happen if the exploit that made CFW possible for 3.55 is now closed?? CFW beyond 3.55 isnt as simple as the 3.55 patch we have now(obviously). The majority of new members that ask for CFW are on these 3.56+ consoles and to be honest any 3.56+ CFW that may come out will more than likely just be a patch for a 3.55CFW box, just to keep its homebrew capabilities.
What everyone needs is a new exploit of EPIC FAIL proportions, but lets face it the chances of that are quite slim considering most of the advancement of the PS3 scene hinders on a team capable of taking the challenge to which this scene has none. Everyone(except Graf and Kak) that has made a huge impact have already left the public because they feel they have done enough to show that the PS3 can be 'broken'.
Unless you are already on the boat I recommend that you give the CFW no thought at all unless you see a news headline of a big public exploit that has a method that is actually shared with us all.
Like what some devs say (i'm not naming any devs), the only 3.56+ CFW we'll see will be a hybrid. Mainly because of how the security on the firmwares starting with 3.56 is different and that the system checks the firmwares before it loads them now.

Yes, I think I understand now. Thank you. I just read Waninkoko's recent post about a new cfw. And like you said it won't work for anyone on OFW 3.56+.
So I guess the main obstacle is decrypting or finding the new private keys for OFW's 3.56+, right? Will these ever be decrypted? I know nothing on this subject. I know, like Waninkoko said, they have their own algorithms, etc. So a lot of math for sure I'd imagine.
