    Hey,

I was just wondering if anybody had some good links or software (hopefully freeware) that I could use to get started writing very basic code for my 12C508 PICs. I know BASIC programming pretty well, but have never used Assembly before. I saw there was something called PICBasic Pro or something along those lines for 250 dollars. that's a bit out of my range. :o

    Any help is appreciated.
