    Seriously?

I haven't received one of these in at least 5 years and thought it really was a thing of the past.
Got the following in my email today:

I am Mrs. Zaina Ali - Fayadh ,Wife of Late Sheikh Dhari Ali Al-Fayadh (Prominent Iraqis House of Assembly Member ) who was killed along with three of his bodyguards and my Son in a suicide bomb attack in neighborhood of Rashdiya Northern Baghdad. View the Website below for detail Story on how I lost my influential husband.

    **********2005/WORLD/meast/06/28/iraq.main/

My late and beloved husband deposited a huge amount with BANK for safe keeping. All I need from you is an assistance to transfer the fund to your country for investment untill I regain my freedom.

I will give you 25% of the total sum (sharing ration is Negotiable} but the most of all is that I solicit your trust in this transaction and will not want you to betray me. Get back if you are willing for this venture.

    Yours sincerely,

    Mrs.Zaina Ali Fayadh
    Email: *******aol.com

    I will give them credit.
The spelling, grammar and punctuation is a helluva lot better than what I used to see in the past.

Obviously changed the links so that nobody followed and picked up germs in the pooter (or took it seriously and actually made contact with the idiots).
I would much rather go to my grave not needing my gun, than go there wishing I had it.

@Greg0u812 if you are going to pass on the proposition, do you mind if I take advantage?

No seriously, people still fall for these types of scams. Otherwise, they would not exist.

I was out in California many, many years ago.
I was doing laundry and a young couple was sitting a few seats away talking about the possible new found fortune they were about to get.
They happened to be reading one of these emails.

One of them finally had enough sense to get a lawyer involved (at least he mentioned running it past a lawyer first).

I walked over and told them that I was getting at least 3 of those a week and that it was a scam.
I seriously thought the girl was going to mist up and start crying. It was kind of sad to see how gullible they both were.

I'm not sure that the guy actually believed me. He didn't really act like it.
Hopefully they did run it past somebody that they were willing to believe.

If not.......they almost deserved having their financial life ripped apart.
@indirect76 I can pm you the info if you want, but I get a 3% finders fee when everything is done!!!

I just got another one. A duplicate of the earlier one.

Guess I gotta go take a look at my spam filters now.
