I'm surprised the forum didn't have one of these already considering how popular these threads are.

Anyway, this is the place to post your PC setups and give critique and advice to others who are perhaps looking to build a new machine or upgrade their existing one.

If you're going to post your spec, I've made a template which you can use:
    HTML Code:
    [B]Manufacturer:[/B] ~
    [B]Chassis:[/B] ~
    [B]Motherboard:[/B] ~
    [B]Processor:[/B] ~
    [B]Memory:[/B] ~
    [B]Hard Drive:[/B] ~
    [B]Video Card:[/B] ~
    [B]Sound Card:[/B] ~
    [B]Monitor:[/B] ~
    [B]Keyboard:[/B] ~
    [B]Mouse:[/B] ~
    [B]Speakers/Headphones:[/B] ~
    [B]Operating System:[/B] ~
Feel free to include images (reasonably sized, please - I suggest a width of no more than 1024px) of your PC or your workspace.

I'll get the ball rolling with my PC which I've had since mid-2008. It's served me well so far but I'll probably replace it before the end of the year.

Yeah, pretty much a poor boy setup. Now that I'm managing a computer repair store, I hope to get some good connections and better equipment. Runs what I need it to though, but I'm definitely needing to upgrade.

None at all. Speaking of problems, I've had to RMA one of my GPUs because it was faulty on arrival (ran much hotter than it's supposed to) and my Motherboard/CPU after I killed both while fitting a new cooler (don't ask).

also, do you leave yours open? reason i ask cus i kinda like the case, but only if it keeps it cool enough.
I used to leave it open before I RMA'd my GPU because it helped a bit but now I have it closed except when I'm encoding (100% CPU for >12 Hours). I'm pretty sure it'd be fine if I left it closed but better safe than sorry.

Are you using HDMI or VGA input, and how is it looking? I'm wondering because smaller Samsung TVs that aren't also designed to be monitors seem to look horrid over HDMI and the only way to get a decent picture from a PC is through VGA, which is a bit pointless since it doesn't support HDCP.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Price/Quality ratio of Vizio products, I wish we could get them in the UK.

EDIT: Sorry for the double post. Moderators feel free to merge.

I've had mine since about early 2008 i guess, I'll probably upgrade it soon after seeing some videos of Crysis 2 running on a similar machine.
    Manufacturer: Me

    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 @ 4.5ghz OC'D

    Hard Drive: WD20EARS x 4, WD15EARS, WD5000AACS,
    Video Card: Gigabyte ATI HD4850 1GB OC'D
    Sound Card: 7.1Ch Onboard
Monitor: ASUS MT276H 27 Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor
    Keyboard: Microsoft OEM Shit
    Mouse: Microsoft OEM Shit
    Speakers/Headphones: Logitech ClearChat Comfort Headset
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I'd love to include an image but can't atm, my cpu heatsink is a coolermaster V8 (HUGE thing), my graphics card has the bulky heatsink taken off, and replaced with a slightly smaller one with a couple led fans. Although the cords everywhere make it look very messy, I kinda have a drive in every bay.

Right now I'm on VGA, because it only has 2 HDMI inputs and I have PS3 and 360 hooked up to it. It looks alright, Only downside is max resolution I can pull is 1440x900, and that doesn't even match the screen ratio. I've been trying to bypass EDID and force 1920x1080, but haven't had much luck yet, but then again I just picked up the TV over the weekend. (Yay tax returns!)
I may try hooking it up to HDMI for kicks. It is mainly just temporary since I have very little room I had to store away my 23" ACER. Now that is a nice monitor at 1080p, plus HDMI input is gorgeous.

I was skeptical about Vizio, mostly because it is somewhat of a Walmart thing I think, but it actually does really well. Only major complaint I have is minor ghosting, but that comes with getting an LCD-LED TV i suppose.

Even if you force the 1080p on it, doesnt mean it will actually be of 1080p quality.

I used to do that too, i knew it didnt do it, but inside my crazy head, it made me feel good lol

Yup, sure enough, just tried both ways.
Forcing 1080p through VGA just cuts off the sides and the TV thinks it is in 4:3 mode.
Using HDMI looks like crap. nothing is clear or readable.

Oh well, back to VGA. I can't really run much in 1920x1080 anyway other than Half-life 2 and oblivion.
