Pc Game Question...
I am playing a little diablo 2 Lord of Destruction and i was wondering...
Why the hell does diablo 2 use 240mb of the hdd for ram and 212mb of the ram for ram????
I have 512mb of ram in my pc now, so if the 240mb of hdd ram would be in the physical memory then it would have 452mb used by the physical memory and no hdd ram game play lag.
any body know how to allocate more of the game memory to the ram instead of the hdd???

You forgot to take into account things like Windows using some of your system RAM. Depending on the version of windows and how many background tasks you have running (often linked to icons in your system tray), that could be using up several hundred MB. Load up your task manager and see what else is using your ram. You may be able to load more of the game into RAM by unloading those programs. I doubt you would be able to load the whole game into RAM though because of Windows.

Never bothered to check when i played that game...
At that stage I had around 512 or mayber 768MB's of SDRAM
now I have 1GB of PC333 ;)
Loved the game though - played it and the first one to death!
