Just pressures by our stupid government, industry folks have waaay too many lobbyists feeding greedy politicians, otherwise shit like this would never happen. Although I disagree with piracy of most games because of game developers hard work, I tend to think many programs, such as Photoshop, Premiere, Macromedia Studio, ANY Apple program, etc. are waaaay overpriced for what they do. Granted, I realize this is because of piracy, but increasing prices to a ludachrist amount will only encourage it more.

Is Copyright infringement legal as well in Canada? Sorry to tell you, but it's not DL'ing that's illegal, it's the copyright infringement. If you notice, they busted people from all over the world, so don't belive that being in one area of the world makes you immune.

BS, no way just b/c it's canada doesn't mean copyrights don't count, the governement might noe persue you, but what stops the RIAA, or individual music labels who hold those copyrights to persue you guys?

The RIAA has no jurisdisction in Canada. However we do have our own version of the RIAA but they lost a major court case in the filesharing battle. It is legal in Canada to download but illegal to upload. I'm not sure but I think this applies to only music and not warez.
