Online PS2

I've just got me a USB ethernet adapter for my ps2,

I got Tony Hawks 3 and 4 working, Socom, but then I came to NBA live 2003.

I can log on, get to the lobby, challenge people, they accept, then it just says, "waiting for connection", and hangs there.

I am using a RIP, with a no-mod patch, should that make any difference?

no, it shouldnt make a difference.
the most likely problem is that the firewall on your router is blocking ports that this game uses. since these are probably different than the ports the other games use, they still work.

remember when the network adapters were such a hot item? I got one about 3 days ago at walmart, they had about 5 just hanging there next to all thier 3rd party stuff like they're not as important anymore.... I also re-bought SOCOM, now I just need the chance to play it.
