I wouldn't buy GC even if it was $100 CAD. I've hated Nintendo every since N64 because Nintendo chose not to use mainstream media. (ie N64 had cartridges instead of CD's and GC has mini- DVD's instead of the full size).

Nintendo more geared towards the younger crowd. XBOX is for an older audience which probably shouldn't be playing video games. PS2 is just right; lots of variety.

Everyone thinks nintendo is aimed at kids for 1 reason and 1 reason only because we all grew up playing it as kids!

Yeah they make kiddy games, but they also make games for older people too, also nintendos ''kiddy'' games are much more fun to play than most PS2 titles and i love my PS2.

Not a bad price for a new GC, though I suppose you may have to add tax if you live in one of the states they have a store in.

I agree with Homer. Yes they do have a lot of games for kids, but they have a number of adult games as well.

I never said there weren't any games for adults, I'm said the system is targeted for kids. And you both admitted that there are more game for kids than for adults. So I don't see the point you're trying to make.

I won't go on about the GC, I'm not going to turn this thread into which system is better. This thread also wouldn't be the right place for it.

it is more then just the fact that when we were kids we had Nintendo?s and now that we are adults we tend to deem Nintendo as a kids console... you see Nintendo has always been notorious for censoring some of there 3rd party releases..for instance the mortal kombat release on the super Nintendo or the Friday the 13th game for the 8bit classic Nintendo... with the mortal kombat release they completely removed blood from the game and it wasn?t until part 2 that they re-added the blood by popular demand & with the Friday the 13th game they avoided an uproar when you go to play as the campers and consolers instead of the hockey mask wherein Jason...This was probably done after reviewing the backlash the Texas chainsaw massacre game for the Atari 2600 game received since in the game you play as the chainsaw wielding leather face...

with this said all consoles have there distinct advantages and there is not a better console; the only judge of what console is better is the one you yourself prefer.. I myself am fond of the ps2 but that doesn?t mean that the other consoles are anything less only means that is my personal preference and that is all...
