NFS Hot Pursuit black screen?

I just backed up NFS hot pursuit and when I got into it it asks me to update to v1.02 I have tried updating and I got a black screen. I have also tried not updating, the screen went black but I could still go to the xmb menu? Im using the newest version of multiman and kmeaw.

Have you tried ripping to both internal and external?

I don't have a usb or external hard drive big enough to use external.
