Need your ideas

I need some help. I have had a second usb case malfunction on my computer. The first wouldnt start (error code 10) and this second one starts up but has an
unknown device error. I have no idea what the problem is and couldnt find any solutions online. I have bought a usb 2.0 card because my pc only came with 1.1 support and it wont work in any of the slots. I was using both cases for hard drives which work fine in the ps2 and when connected internally. Anybody know what I can do ?

can you describe you need help exactly...I wasn't what's your main problem....

do you need help with getting a USB card as in PCI card to work or getting an External HDD case to work...??
