well, i need some PC networking help guys :P....

u see, i am trying to download some torrents from my uni's LAN internet.....

unfortunately, on HTTP traffic through post 80 is allowed on my uni's LAN....

I am told on torrentbytes.net, that for such I case, I need to use Sock proxy...

for this, I downloaded SocksCap 2.3x....but dont know how to set it up properly....

can anyone guide me, on how I can use torrent on such a LAN connect....

btw, the uni's uses its own proxy as well.....i think its HTTP 1.1

your uni probablly onyl allows traffic out of the internal network via the proxy server, on port 80. if your unis webserver doesnt have a socks proxy, your out of luck. you cannot simply install one.
