I've tried looking for a tool to record everything on my computer into a video file. My past results always ended up being things that were very laggy and skipped frames of what I was doing. The tool wouldn't need to record sound. I would use it to record what I am doing while looking for codes for PS3 games in the hope that others would learn something from it. Any suggestions?

    Fraps
    Camtasia Studios

These 2 are the best ive used so far

Fraps is better but it does not compress the video so no more than 3 minutes will be 2-3 gig's You'll have to compress it with another app

Camtasia studios has a whole studio for you to record, edit, Produce formats of a recording or just Edit other videos

The free versions of fraps on the other hand sucks and CTS has a 30 day trial

What is your Computer specs like it will be impossible to get a non laggy recording on a Bad processor. im on a Dual core vaio and im barely holding on with my recordings

Fraps, Jing, Camtasia, or HyperCam. Do not use anything else.
