Can Anyone Tell Me A Website That Has Reviews On The Best CDROM Drives That Only READS CDS Not Write To Them, Or If Anyone Has A Suggestion On A Good Model Please Speak Out. The Reason I Need This Is Because I Am Building A Retro PC To Play Classic DOS Games Without Having To Do Any Stupid Emulating. I Believe Every CDROM Drive Will Work In Windows 3.1. Any Suggestions? THANKS!

Pioneer, Toshiba, Plextor. Etc. Any of them. You may want to avoid slot-in CDROM drives since the slot-in mechanism is said to wear out and fail early.

yea but i know from experience that the read speed on the box is never the actual read speed. why to you think they review cdrws?
you might want to look in cnet.com, they have hardware reviews on their page
lg or lite-on make good drives... 52x is as fast as u'll find...the best of them probably read around 50x in normal conditions...at minimum, u'll get true 48x read speeds.
I swear by the LG brand. You can't go wrong with one of them...
I think the drive he's looking for would be the Kenwood True 72x. It's the only multi-laser reading unit that can achieve 72x CLV reading. You'll be hard pressed to find one since not too many were made and those that were sold at really high prices.
