i have decided to go for Samsung PX2370HD if i do not find any better option. any suggestions on this??
It's physically impossible for a human being to notice a difference in response time when we're dealing with anything less than 100ms. As long as it's not ridiculously high, response time is going to take a massive back seat to other functions. For example, on games you don't want a monitor that overprocesses images, because although they become shinier and nicer to look at often important details are lost.
Last year, when my LG Flatron was off for repairs I had to make do with an old and cheap ass UMC TV which had grainy black, and lacked sharpness, but the absence of image processing meant that I was seeing soldiers and objects that were impossible for me to notice in the past.
Don't get me wrong, the grainy black and horrible contrast ratios were nightmares, but my point is that your priorities aren't necessarily the same as the way manufacturers market their TVs. When I got my TV back I modified the settings a little and now I'm enjoying the best of both worlds.
Speaking of which...
LG Flatron W2443T-PF: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
It's about $310.
IllyriaIsBlue: That monitor is doesn't have HDMI in!!!!!
DVI loses quality for HDMI!Interfaces:1 x VGA - 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15) 1 x DVI-D - 24 pin digital DVI
I don't advise to buy this monitor since DVI loses quality for HDMI!
Here is a review of this monitor:

And here is a review of my monitor which is a LED LCD with higher quality:
http://reviews.cnet.com/lcd-monitors...-34139473.html My suggestion is this: Go for it champ![]()
as long as the monitor supports HDCP... that's fine
if not
prepare for green/pink screen of death.

Thanks for the heads up Zlor. That isn't the same model as mine, I assumed it was newer and therefore better with at least the same feature set, but looks like I was wrong.
This is the exact model I have:

I would like to first of all thank all of you for your valuable inputs. As a matter of fact, i have decided to go for the PX2370HD for the following reasons:
1. reviews on the internet
2. HDMI capability, DVI capability and Full HD+LED
3. Price
4. 3 years on site warranty (if anything happens to my monitor, samsung will come to my home and fix it), they can offer me discount on upgrades too :P
It is a real shame that i have not been able to enjoy my ps3 since i bought it. I would jump in the scene like all of you once i get everything in place.
Once again, thank you all for your valuable inputs,.![]()
I got the monitor. It is awesome. the response time is good. but the monitor is broken from the base. have contacted samsung for the same. an engineer will come today to fix it.

ps3 320G unmodded (as of now) + 2x Move + 1TB external HDD + loads of games

It's a bit late and I'm not sure of its availability in India but I would recommend this monitor to anyone who's looking in the US and UK: ViewSonic VP2365wb - LCD display - TFT - 23" - widescreen - 1920 x 1080 - 300 cd/m2 - 1000:1 - 14 ms - DVI-D, VGA - black: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
It may not be LED backlit or have HDMI but it uses an IPS panel instead of the cheaper TN panels that are used in almost all displays below $500. In short, this means more natural colours and vastly improved viewing angles. It should work fine with the PS3 as it supports HDCP over DVI just fine.
