Funny you mentioned this topic of how people need to grow up cuz today I had one. I do not care what your skin color is, but a lot of blacks need to get over racism. I have mexican, white, and indian in me (so i'm pretty tan), and I find it okay if somebody jokingly calls me a mexican, etc.
Back on topic about black, and I know there's still plenty of racist people...It's just not every white person you see, or somebody of a different color hates you because your black.
Anyways, this guy I work with is black. He's about 40, has 3 kids, etc. I've worked with him for about 6 months, and he's fine...Occasionally you hear him complain about racism, and everything that everybody seems to do to him is because he's black (in his mind). Last couple of weeks he has been unbareable though.....Everybody on the freight team agrees.
So, this morning I come in, and if you work 9 hours....It's up to you wether you want half an hour, or hour. So, he starts going crazy about this, and annoying the crap outta everybody. Lately, I've just been ignoring him cuz I try to be nice (hasn't said anything directly towards me though), but finally I just tell him TAKE WHATEVER THE **** YA WANT! The supervisor straightens it out finally. So, one down.
Go in to the break room, and I was joking about how our supervisor slave drives us...This isn't uncommon....Almost everyday we work in freight, somebody uses the phrase SLAVE DRIVE, or work like a slave. This guy never has taken offense to it, but today he was searching for something, and he found it. Never said anything at first, but a minute later he's like "I don't want to hear anybody use the word slave around me again!!!!!! Brings back a lot of memories!" etc....I forgot I really said it, so I asked who said it. He said YOU! I was *almost* about to apologize until I realized he didn't deserve an apology because he was looking for that. He went on, and on...So, I got very pissed, and told him "Yes, I said it...**** it...I'll say what I want!" By that point I was about to hurt him badly, so told everybody just to go back. I even turned my back on him just to see if he was man enough to hit me from behind (because I wanted to tear him up).
So, get back to the room, I was so mad I punched the door, got my knuckle swollen, etc (not broken though). manager comes back to have a meeting with us, in which he keeps interrupting her, making her mad as hell. Then, 3 people (including 2 managers) said they smelled a lot of alcohol on his breath.
So, it's amazing really....People like this are bitching that others are so racist toward them.....Yet, he came to work drunk, is always bitching about something, annoying the shit out of people, and 50% of the time he's lazy, and does not want to work. So amazing how quickly people will cast blame upon others without even taking a glance in the mirror at themselves.
Whenever I do something that's really out there (like today), I always look myself in the mirror, and think very hard if I was at any fault. In this case, if it would have been any other black person I said this infront of, I would have apologized to them, but he would have found something regardless...If anything he needed to apologize to us first, and then I'd apologize to him. People just shock me so much....

Islam is a peaceful religion, as is Christianity, Juadaism, Buddhism, and every other major (and some not so major) faiths on this planet.

What you need to understand is that humans are not necessarily so peaceful and accepting. Couple that with mob mentality and you have yourself the equivalent of a social atom bomb. It's unfair and borderline ignorant to just point to the Muslims because they're all over the news lately. Where were you when those people complained about the Pledge of Allegiance having the words, "Under God"? These people could have just kept themselves from saying it (not like anybody would have noticed it), but instead they just had to make the national news. Give me a break.

Fanaticism in any religion is a very dangerous thing. I am a very anti-religious person. No matter if you’re a Christian Nazi or a Muslim terrorist, it’s all about hatred, intolerance and eradication of other religious races. It’s an aspect found in every race of man on this planet and I consider it a sickness. Although some areas on this planet seem to have far more than their share of this kind of sickness, looks like a God damned plague to me!!

You say they are all peaceful, I say their all violent as HELL. Religion is manmade evil at its best. Yes you can find some peaceful states of all these religions, it’s called deep denial of reality and responsibility.

The worst part about religion is if that God and Heaven are your number one priority then Earth and Mankind can only be number two at best.

Christianity isn't suppose to be the way it seems to be these days. This is why I think people shy away from god....Because a lot of christians saying they work for him, when there a lot closer to working for the other side.
In the bible it says not to judge.....Yet, christians tell gays there going to hell. The bible says a lot of things that you should not do...Yet, the more holy people seem to be...The more wrong things they do.
I used to not beleive in the bible because it contradicts itself a lot (things I've heard) until I really opened it up, and started reading. I do now beleive in the bible....I beleive that certain things may have been altered over time, and the lord never said them, but if you seriously sit down, and read the more important verses in the bible....It's VERY amazing how much they relate to your life. You'll be having some sort of issue that day, open it up, and read something that it seems was written just for you, and your issue.

I see the majority of people who say they do not beleive in god/ religion usually to deep down beleive in some sort of god. It's just crazy ass hypocritical holy people that scare them away from the religion part. God wants you to bring people closer to him, but these people scare people away from him. That's why I say there playing for the other side......

Also, Christianity has nothing to do with hate. People who are the ones who do the HATE. If you read through the bible it tells you over and over how everyone is your brother, and sister. No matter what these people do to you, no matter what you do not like about them, etc you are *suppose* to love these people unconditionally.
That the only way you can work with God is to let him work this through you. Also, it says there is no excuse for practically anything you do. How people say "I'm only human" or "I'm not perfect" that isn't good enough to god. Now, I do not know of anybody currently that is able to love everyone unconditionally. I try real hard, but I fail, and I probably always will (guess that's why there is sin). BUT even that guy I mentioned that I wanted to beat up...I don't hate on him. He made me uncontrallably mad at the time, but I pray that he gets better, and see his mistakes. Whenever you dislike somebody...You pray for them. I doubt I can work with him right now....He'll probably be fired, but I hope he finds another good job, and changes his ways. If he came to me, and apologized, I would be man enough to apologize for my mistakes, and forgive.
I do beleive this is the way it's intended to be, so the word HATE is man made...I beleive god wants you to love (I don't think anybody needs a bible to tell them this though).

Get mad at the fanatic douchebags, not the entire religion. Islam is way too big of a religion with too many sects to make blanket statements like "Muslims need to grow up!!!". Making blanket statements to 1.3 billion people merely makes apparent your need to grow up.

Yeah, I guess there’s nothing at all wrong with a race who can’t tolerate even a flattering drawing of Mohammad without slitting throats and burning buildings. What was I thinking!! I’m obviously way to CRAZY for this world!! Thanks for letting me know how far out of line I am!!!!!!
