Okay, Reloaded ends with Neo taking the wrong door and opting to save Trinity over the entire human race. In 24 hours, this will result in the permanent destruction of Zion, and a massive Matrix system crash which will kill everyone connected to The Matrix....or so says The Architect. The human race will become extinct.

Mr. Smith has infiltrated The Real World and Zion as Bane, and his only obvious motive is that he wants Neo dead.

Neo has what The Oracle called "The Sight," which are prophetic dreams. I found it odd that he had these dreams in The Real World instead of in The Matrix, but at the end of Reloaded, Neo emits an EMP to destroy some Sentinels. Either there is a Matrix inside of a Matrix (Unlikely), or there is more to The One than anyone originally thought.

Towards the end of the movie, as Neo and Bane (Mr. Smith) are lying on the doctor tables, a captain explains that somebody triggered an EMP pulse before everyone could get into position, which made 5 ships automatically go down. The Sentinels broke through and slaughtered everyone, except Bane (Mr. Smith). In Enter The Matrix, we see the scene when the EMP is triggered, but they don't know who did it. We then cut to Bane (Mr. Smith), holding a knife and climbing down a ladder. It is still uncertain if Neo's EMP is the one that screwed everyone up, or if Bane (Mr. Smith) triggered one before he got the hell out of dodge.

In Enter The Matrix, The Oracle explains to Niobe that Merovingian destroyed her previous shell. This is because the actress who played the original Oracle has died.

Link is the new Operator of the Nebuchadnezzar, because Tank and Dozer both died in the first movie. Link is Tank and Dozer's sister's boyfriend, FYI.

One possibility that a co-worker and I were discussing is in the 3rd film, it's possible that the place that they are "out of the Matrix" is really still inside the Matrix. Remember, they are now on Matrix V6.0 well, soon to be V7.0 and perhaps the computer program has gotten smart enough to simulate the world outside of the matrix so that humans think they have a purpose in life.

Another aspect we were thinking about is the possibility that although Neo is outside of the Matrix, he has enough power to still manipulate it. Because how else could he have "sensed" the oncoming Sentinels? Many unanswered questions.....

I thought Zion was wiped out at the end? When they were telling the story, I go the impression that the machines had killed everyone on Zion.

Either way, I hope they bring back more fight scenes with the Twins. Those guys looked evil.

To me the best part was the freeway scene, Trinity looked so cool on that black Ducati, it makes me want to go out and get a black Ducati!

Neo collapsed after using the ENP. That might hint that he is using Matrix skills outside of the Matrix but to enable him to do that it requires a lot of energy. That and his inexperience with using it should explain why he fell unconcious.

This would mean there is a "Matrix inside of a Matrix," right? No offense, but to me, this idea sounds absolutely rediculous and I will be pissed if the Wachowski Brother's pull that one out of their asses. It's not too original.

I thought they were forming a plan to stop the Sentinels, and the plan just screwed up and a bunch of them died. I think Zion still has a little time left....

In Enter The Matrix, it shows the scene where the "Mystery EMP" is triggered, and nobody really seems all that worried that Zion is about to be destroyed. Its not very clear.

As long as Merovingian wants Neo dead, the Twins will fight him. It's going to take a LOT to kill these guys, since whenever Neo jumps into a program to delete it, they come back stronger than ever. I think this could explain a little of why Neo didn't use his "The One" powers in all of his fights, since he just used Kung Fu.

I've come up with a new idea, although I don't believe it in the slightest.

What if Neo was really an android? Or an android with a human brain or something? I know that The Architect explained that he was merely a bug, but that doesn't explain how Neo's physical form came to exist, or why he is so special as opposed to anyone else. In the first movie, Morpheus said "One born inside of The Matrix..." This sure sounds like a machine to me. Maybe that's why he can emit EMPs, and why it hurt himself.

But then again, at the end of the first Matrix movie, an EMP was triggered once the sentinels had broken through the Nebuchadnezzar, and that didn't hurt Neo in the slightest.

Who knows.

Neo couldn't be an android because he emitted an EMP while he was still concious. When the Nebuchadnezzar emitted the EMP it was in standby mode and no electrical systems were running

K step back abit here and try this on for size....


Lets equate the Matrix to a well known game ... be it Warcraft.. Starcraft... or C&C... even Ages of Empires...by meaning that you start the game as simple as a town centre and a few peons.. from here you build a race .. army .. technology..

K now for the Matrix Zion being the little town centre and ( the Archetect says " you will select 23 people to repopulate Zion") we start building our little race from there.. As always in these games there is a nemisis that you must fight (AI) the computer builds its army up to match yours (Morpheous says "250K people in Zion and 250K Sentinels) hmm looks like the game is about to be lost by one or the other team here... so you sitting at your computer decide that well this is just going to be a long waste of time to watch them fight down to the last two so you start a new game..( hmm V6 in the Matrix Neo is suppose to go thru the door and start everything all over again)

K now the Real World and the Matrix World... lets see if you noticed just like any Computer program (hackers know this stuff) Back doors .. the long corridors where once entered Neo was not seen by the Real World or in the Matrix.. (or with the Architeck) so that means that that level would have to be a higher power than the real world as in the Matrix you can not see the real world.. Now the Archetec is the main systems Program (not Programmer) he is an AI(artificial Inteligence) that is trying to figure out human nature hence Version6 Matrix.. well back to the Warcraft game.. the AI is the enemy there and they are trying to defeat you same as here the Archetek is trying to beat ZION.

So since Neo has discovered that his reality is the same reality as int he World as Matrix he has the same powers available ( Matrix 1 .. Morpheous says " Let you mind go" ) well if both are connected via the same Program then he should have the same powers in both areas just has to see the spoon is not really there.

So I think that we will see yet another level to the Matrix that may have some folks jacked in via virtual reality controls and its all a game.

My theory is this:
The "Real World" is a seperate Matrix, created for the purpose of further control. (I don't mean a Matrix within a Matrix, think of it as computer servers...linked in a network, but not the same)
Here's why I think that:
1. The architect said that 99.8% (or something like that) people accept the matrix as being real. The others don't and are usually removed from the matrix to the real world (as explained in the first movie).
2. Agent Smith took over/added himself to Bane or whatever you want to say that he did. Smith is a program. It's easy to move a program from one server to another...
3. Neo's little light show at the end, and being able to 'feel' the robots approaching, while the others couldn't.

Now, this isn't nearly enough evidence, so this lot is speculation, built upon the ideas above.
The oracle's purpose is to lead those who do not believe in the Matrix to Zion, and being the good, convincing character that she is, we as people accept that she is good and did so for nearly two whole movies.
The "Real World" is so convincing because we don't naturally know how the world would be if it were destroyed like that. People don't accept the Matrix because it's trying to copy the natural world....once they're 'unplugged', they're forcefully put into another Matrix, and not being able to tell otherwise, accept it as being real.
Another point is how the machines rebuild Zion each time, according to the architect.... If it's destroyed over and over again, the original people that started it back up would be able to pass stories along to those new generations, telling about how the city was started. If it's another matrix, it could be rebuilt, people rescued from the matrix as we know it, and programs could be made to act as real people to simulate the city existing longer than it actually has.

Now, for those of you who object to this idea, if it were to be.....yeah, maybe it is a cop out. So what? As if the original movie's theme wasn't cliche as it were.

Another idea I want to get out there is that Neo will die in Revolutions. He has to.

when i saw neo do that thing with the sentinels it immediatly reminded me when neo jumped into agent smith, didnt he mention something about them mixing there codes or something maybe thats why he could "feel" the sentinels?

also, remember when the guy in zion had no idea how the machines that provided oxygen and water worked? maybe that this proves that there really is a "matrix in inside of the matrix"

maybe hes an cyborg (man and machine parts) and when he emmitted that emp he shut down parts of his brain which in turn
caused him to be in that coma (which could also explain bane in that coma as well)
