while looking at classic sonic games online that i have not yet played i stumbled across the "sonic x-treme" game that was supposed to be released for the sega saturn. with disagreements between sega of america and sega of japan it was forced to be cancled and let alot of people down. im reading up on it and its really interesting stuff. apparently their are copies of the sega saturn and a pc beta in possesion of some of the sega employees, and i read in one forum a guy said that someone with a copy of the game dumped all the sprites out and posted it on a website. im hoping i can find a beta version of either the sega saturn version, or hopefully the pc version which had 3 or 4 playable levels. i would delete them after 24 hours if i am required to. as far as i can tell its pretty much public domain, and i apologize if my post is against forum rules. i will delete the thread emedietly if anyone says i am breaking rules. if any sonic fans out their know of any information on this or possible methods of finding this beta id love to hear them

this link is a real conversation that a guy had with a person who works for sega and was working on the sega x-treme project. im almost positive that this leaked out at one point, and im hoping that someone out their still has a copy of it. if you are interested in this game, search google for lots of pictures and even a 20 second vid of the game in action. its a mostly 3d game, with all the characters being sprites, except the bosses which were in full 3d

anyways, tell me what you think. hopefully im not the only nerd on the forum thats interested in stuff like this

nevermind thats just a crappy homemade game. it looks like getting this game will be near impossible. only 1 or 2 mayb 3 ppl working for sega had copies of it, unless they made copies for some of their friends. most likely the project is to sentimental for them to release it to the public, and since the info on this game is very limited, i dont think it was ever released. again, i could be wrong about any or all of this, hopefully a sonic fan on the forums has a copy of it, but the chances are slim
