I'm looking for someone with a VGA CABLE for the PS2, the one that comes with the PS2 Linux Kit. I want one of those, not the aftermarket VGA box. I've heard the JAP D-Terminal also functions as a VGA port, is this true? Anyone have one?

Hey trumpet, long time no talk man..
There's a guide posted on the internet on making a convertion cable from Component to VGA by matching certain pins on a VGA plug to the output of the component cables, it's at the "other" ps2 site.
I'll see if I can dig up the pictures to show you, but come on MSN or AIM man, I can talk to you on there.

By the way, your monitor needs to support 'sync-on-green'.

mkay, I'll have to check it out, I'll IM you sometime. To everyone else, are there any other ways to get a PS2 VGA Cable (IE, someone selling aftermarket ones, D-Terminal JAP cables working as a VGA)? Please lemme know, I'd like to explore all options before spending the money on an expensive component cable and dissecting it to work on VGA.

You won't be dissecting it. In order to keep it intact, you will get some radio shack bits and put them in a box which you will connect the Component cable into which will output to the Monitor. I would get these pictures for you fast but the "other" ps2 site seems to have banned me. I'll have to find a way to get them.

    Yes, Blessed is right,

it is not hard to do it yourself. The component cable, also is not expensive if you search e-bay a bit.

I got mine for $7 (excluding Shipping/Handling) and, maybe, maximum $10 parts from RadioShack and I was done with it.

Actually, I am just about to post on "HOW-TO" make one yourself.

    Yours truly,

OK cool, that would be much appreciated as I don't wanna waste money on something to have it not work. Thanks!

I'm not a big solderer though, what about this:

    http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?cat...ducts_id=1999&

It says VGA adapter in the description. Any ideas from my Jap and Asian friends on this one?

It doesn't really look like one to me..
You should just get a component cable and set it up, trust me, you don't need soldering skills, a 5 year old could make the adaptor.
