i want to share files from my imac (running mac os 9 only) and my pc (running latest ver. turbo linux) does anyone have any ideas? i was thinking of maybe downloading a linux ftp program and running a server on it, then uploading files onto it from the imac. or runnin a server on the imac and connectin to it from the linux pc. i already hav ftp stuff installed on the mac os 9, so that would be easy for me to setup. but i dont know how i would connect to it from the linux if its dirrectly connected with one ethernet cable.. what ip address would the imac hav that the linux could connect to.. i am very confused, plz help

if u were using a hub, you could simply set up the linux machine to be a server...that's what we're doing @ my parent's office in order to make the macs and windows machines communicate
