Considering that the removal of OtherOS was the reason for the cracking of the PS3 to come about, weird that the Linux Sub-Forum should be the least visited sub-forum on the site....
Well anyways...
Anybody got any news on when we intent to see the 'Original' OtherOS feature return? (Or at least a close Dual Boot GameOS/OtherOS setup on the PS3) Linux seems to have been put to the back while people screw around bringing up game piracy..
Any news on this would be much appreciated, lets get this system hack back on track.

I bet sony's next FW update includes the feature and patchs the security flaws. Since this feature is why the Dev's hacked the PS3 sony probably thinks that if they add the feature back people will stop hacking the system. Just my 2 cents.
(Also sony is currently being sued for advertising the feature, and since its not on the PS3 anymore its false advertisement. I think if we do see the feature back it will be from sony.)

It's never going to happen, Sony will never want to appear to back-track on a decision they have made, partly because it would open them up for a whole host of past, present and future law-suits.
