kha0S Linux v3.0 –
Hello everyone. I've just uploaded the kha0S Linux v3.0.
Includes all my customizations to the original Debian Linux Image (linux.img) from Kmeaw.
Installation and documentation will be available at kha0S@PS3 website.

RELEASE NOTES for v3.0
- Changed ext4 mount options from default to noatime (decrease IO to disk).
- Created swap file (128M). General PS3 system response feels smoother.
- Added support for /home in "external" partition. See INSTALL.TXT for instructions on how to use it.
NOTE: it's untested with asbestOS v1.4, but should work fine. Please report your results!

Unplug your usb drive, use your normal way to start the linux bootloader (asbestos, lv2), as there is no drive, the bootloader will drop you into the busybox rescue shell.
At this time, plug your usb drive into the usb port, it will have diagnostic information about the drive you plugged in, normally it's sda with all the partition info.
Now, make sure your usb has at least two partitions on it, mine has 6. One has ext4 which will contain all the rootfs from debian or your own (mine is /dev/sda5), the other is the linux swap partition(/dev/sda6).
At the busybox shell prompt, type the following:
mount /dev/sda5 /mnt/root
exec switch_root /mnt/root /sbin/init
Then turn on your swap partition on:
Or you can edit your /etc/fstab to add an entry for this swap:
/dev/sda6 none swap defaults 0 0
I'll digg into the source code of asbestOS this weekend to try figuring what it's possible or not to get rid of the image file and start using the native partitions.
