This is how they become rich.. release a sub-standard product then release another slightly less sub-standard product a few months later (It was Nokia a few yrs back). Sheeple will always buy the new one for the "status" alone.
Pity it only gives them status to fellow Apple Sheeple or the uneducated that think any MP3 player is an iPod or alterring a photo is "photoshopping"

Not to sound like a FanBoy or anything (I do like Android as well, so not a TOTAL Apple Fanboy)….the iPhone did set the standard for smartphones of today….the iPad set the standards for tablets….look what happened after iPad came out last yet….Xoom, Playbook, G-Slate, Streak, Tab, etc…and ALOT more to come…now Apple did a good bit with laptops as well, they may not have been the first to integrate webcams as STANDARD features, but they did make an impact. The Sony Vaio is pretty much ripping off the ENTIRE Apple MacBook Pro in looks….the color, the keyboard, and even the price! Apple stuff is always high priced, just like Mercedes and BMW…sure you can get a $20,000 car with Navigation system, CD player, leather, etc…or you can get BMW that has all that as well, just cost more…

Also, one of my fav things about the iPhone, you KNOW if the app is going to work just by what generation you have…look at how the Android phones are….the hacking sites have SOOOO many specific directions on what ROM or hack works on which devices where the iPhone is pretty much "if it can be hacked, this program will do it"….and the apps have descriptions saying "it works on iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G only"..where some apps on the Android Market will say "you need an HTC only" or "Not for Galaxy S" etc…there is less restrictions on what will work on the iPhone b/c there is only ONE company making them

The ipod was the worst MP3 Player of them all a few years back but apple fanboy idiots wanted it for the fact it was a status symbol. now walk in to any store and you will find cheap Chinese sub-par MP3 players or heavily overpriced ipods. thanks to all the sheep killing off serious players by only buying any ishit device that apple spews out.

Any Android phone with the voodoo kernal will outplay an ipod/iphone in sound and with Android your free to develop what you want. They even allow apps like Adfree etc to remove ads from "trail" or "free" apps.

I'm glad i switched to my GalaxyS instead of going with the iPhone 4
