Kinda a jerk. But that is just my opinion of course. I mean nothing to massive post count of you, and others like you.
A Jerk? Well That seems like a good comment, I guess. I was put in this position by one of the owners of this site for a reason.... " Now if you would search the post's on that " regular member " , you would see he seems to have a comment about everything, even " acting like a MOD " of this site.
I had no disrespect about the icon file, I thought it looked good.
Since you already received an infraction for insulting a staff member, i wont add to it. We dont mind people's opinions on many things, but personal opinions posted publicly against a staff is not tolerated around here. We read many posts/threads on a daily basis and have an understanding of many people who visit our forums, so we know what we are talking about when we make comments in a thread.
Note: this isnt just for you Vodin, but a general comment for others who might read this thread too.
Would you rather PuppetMaster be insulting the user? No, he was doing something good. Don't scald him, encourage him to be more responsible. Hell, who knows! He might be Mod one day.
Being moderator isn't a godly role, trust me, I know. As a Moderator, you're expected to encourage ALL users of forums to do better, to be more responsible. MODERATORS ARE THE ROLE MODELS.
Don't discourage someone who shows leadership. That's counter-productive and makes more work for the Admins and Mods.
So what if he's got an opinion on everything? Does it hinder your job? No. It's one less user who won't troll the forums and make your job harder.
You should be encouraging him, when you stop being Mod then what? No more mods? That's what's going to happen if you don't encourage users to show forward thinking. If you were any kind of Mod you'd be talking to the Admins to take notice of his leadership skills.
He wants to be involved, let him. Who are you to put him down?
I'm terribly sorry for taking this thread off-topic, I just felt that for the benefit of this forum attitudes like those shown here should be stopped. They're silly. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this way.
I know what you were trying to say and sticking up for another member is 'nobel', but we have been here for a while and many of us staff have an understanding with many members here, so we dont go insulting anyone who isnt deserving of a 'flaming'.
Now i think we should end this off-topic discussions right here, since we (staff) dont really need to explain ourselves to anyone why we do what we do......our decisions/actions are not up for public debate!
..and this will be the last time i 'explain' something a staff member has done, any further public 'outbursts' in disagreement of a staff's action/post/comment/etc will be deleted and a PM sent to the person who made it, so the discussion/issue can be discussed privately.
We will not be made to publicly defend our selves...period!!
So, I don't see how PuppetMaster's comment has made himself look like a moderator. Owner? Maybe. But that's not the point. The main point is that a moderator making fun of someone, someone who's actually contributed to the scene by posting news, is rather childish.
And I sometimes wonder why some people defend other people in situations like this one. *sigh*
I meant " good luck with being a MOD ", and again as JNABK said it is a tough job being a MOD/Admin here. We as a site are getting 200+ new members a day, and over 1,500+ post's a day. I don't care who says it, reading "MODERATING" that many post's, one like to joke around.
Anyway enough BS about this. If puppetmaster had a problem with me, he as a member has the right to ask me " off line ", about the known if any issue.
I personally am not a mod, but when I see people trying to bypass the rules I'll act accordingly. DJ has never insulted me, nor do I see his comment as insulting. So for people to feel like he's being elitist over that is quite a strange reaction in my eyes.
If anything, I'd expect him to say something to ME since I keep acting more like a wannabe mod than PuppetMaster does.
yes i agree with all of you because i see no any insulation in that post or even any thing close to it .he was just trying to be make some fun .but its seems the owners got him in wrong way .
