Man, honestly I would go out and buy a 3rd party fan for your AMD chip and quite possibly another case fan as well. I know that AMD chips run rather HOT. My buddy has had problems with his past 2 AMD chips and he ended up having to get new fans just to keep it cool enough to run properly. (Just a suggestion fo you too) But then again I like to run extra case fans on ALL of my machines even though I run Intels.

150 detgress is too hot to run an amd, so around 140-145 max
hey man I use Motherboard Monitor 5

Yeh i use to use that, i have too many fans in my system :-/ but mine is up 24/7 never gets a break and runs fine
AMD athlon XP 1700
amdxp2100 with 4 case fans
im running ookay, but the psu gets hot. i need another fan on that , an intake fan
my amd 1700+ runs fine with just 1 cpu fan.
system temp 87 degrees F
cpu temp 118 degrees F
no problemo
They run hot because they draw more voltage, that's how a 1.4ghz chip can outrun a 1.7ghz PIII well, that and the RISC to CISC instruction set interpreter.
im bout to get a AMD 2500+ Barton with this new asus mobo with the Nvidia chipset..
amds are fine.. actaully they are excelent. they just had a few heat probs with the old thunderbird athlons
