How do you know if something's stuck in customs?

Foundmy shipped my order by Xpress Post last monday (23rd). Here's what I got from the shipping tracker:
2004/08/24 20:20 Arrival in destination country
I was wondering - if it's being held up by customs, how would I know? I'm not really worried right now, but I hope it's going to get here before the weekend, it's a 4-day holiday for me (yay).

Most likely, although it probably is out by now. I dont beleive the Canadian tracking will go further than the boarder, since its now in USPS hands.

I wouldn't worry about it. International shipping like that is slower than hell. That's why I always use FedEx.

Most of my orders from foundmy got here in 4-5 days, but last time it was held in customs for a day or two. I wouldent worry about it.

It came! It came!

So no worries. But the only concern was it getting held up in customs from the DMCA... Hear too many stories on Slashdot.

Man, that thing is tiny. Didn't realise.

Anyway, so now that I have it, now what?

I ordered some stuff from Terry @ foundmy and it still hasn't arrived, and it's been over a month!

When I check up on it via the track, it doesn't get past it leaving the country, and he hasn't replied to my emails yet, even though I know he's read them from the "read" reply thing.

Very disappointing as I've ordered stuff from him in the past before without any problems.

daemon-, i did reply. sometimes, i don't reply as soon as I read the messages and at the same time, sometimes I have people helping me. But there is a trace on the package, and I am wiating for a reply from the tracking people..

Yeah, he's slow. And it *can* be scary for people that are afraid of the NUMEROUS scams / fraudsters out there.

BUT!

He's VERY legit. I ordered a Xenium Ice (in additon to a DMS3+). Found out it was out of stock. I *asked* if I could change to a SmartXX which was $5 more. I was willing to pay the differece, but you know what? He sent it anyway without charging anything more. And once his mail server problems got sorted out, communication wasn't a problem.

All I can summarize is - be patient. It's hard, I know first-hand, but I don't think Terry's going to toss his reputation down the drain over one sale, and with shipping being what it is, sometimes things don't get here fast enough.
