When you get into an arguement and call someone a homo what do you mean by it? I say this all the time but I haven't actually stopped to think about it. I have always just considered it to be calling the person gay, what about you?

I believe that homo is a synoynm for gay. Prob shortened from homosexual though actually the word homo means same. Homo is used like homosexual which is technically incorrect but is still popular. The human race in general loves to question their opponent's sexual preference as a way of putting them down.

Why in the hell do you call anyone "Homos"?
To me it just shows peoples immaturity, and stupidity, and that they might be a bit afraid of people who are gay.
Our society is such crap with these words...Homo, queer, fag, etc...99% of the time people who say this...Really don't beleive that the other person is homosexual, but they think it's more of an insult to call them different.
If you wanna say something to somebody...People should say it the right way, or call them good names like *Prick, asshole, ****er* etc. People do not say what they mean these days they just like to talk.

I take it to mean gay, but gay in the sense of stupid or asshole.

why should "gay" have to mean stupid or asshole? gay is the term used to describe someone who is happy, or a male who prefers males instead of females.

we don't see gay people going around calling each other "heteros" when they're trying to insult each other.

why should the term "gay" mean something derogatory? is it just because the idea of males interested in other males is still a foreign concept?

just because using the word "homo" or "gay" or "fag" is COMMON does not automaticcally mean that it's NORMAL.

Yea, that's what I was trying to say...Males are Homophobic. I could personally care less if somebody is gay, and really even if there around me. As long as they understand I'm not gay, or try to come on to me...Then, I got no problems.
I think people say "gay" to much anyways. They use it all the time:
"This is gay"
"he's gay!"
"that seems gay!"
"That looks gay!"

It's like SHUT UP! IS there anything that isn't gay anymore?

yep same but I usually say your "gay" or mostly I say your a "fag"
