Ok heres the deal. I was informed by a person by the name of Micheal Keigan that he installs ps2 mod chips for only 20 dollars. He said the he will do it for me, all I had to do is pay for shipping both ways. So I sent my ps2, my mod chip and a games (by accident). The game was inside the console, I forgot to take it out. So he said he had problemms with it. He didnt giive it back untill a month later. When I did get it, the casing was all scracthed up, its hard to plug the ac plug in and sometimes nothing shows up in the screen. The game on the other hand was scratched so severly that it was unusable. I have no clue what to do. What should I do is there anyone here that can tell me? Should I file mail fraud? And if I do what do i need?

    Thanks, Teemu

Is he still answering your emails? Try to reason with the guy before getting the authorities involved. How did you pay him?

A $20 mod install is like a $5 blowjob. You're just asking for trouble if you're looking for either.

Then get a more detailed explanation and see if he's willing to do anything about it. If not, ask for your money back. If he refuses, just slander his name on various forums; that always works.

I know a lot of people are afraid but I dont seel how modding a consle is more than $20 worth of work anyboady could do it if they just lerned a little first its EZ people screw it up cause they get dont bother to lern the right way to do it and a lot of poeple that know how ether do it the hard way or dont want to explane the ez way to anyboady

there are plenty of places that tell you the right way to disassemble a ps2 all you realy have to worry about is the sodering and with that you just pre soder the wire a little hold it in place put the heat on it for long enoth for it to melt the soder, dont hold it there long enoth to burn up the board and done if it dont want to stick on the pins scrach um up lightley with a little sand paper then it will simple as that

a lot of people say to heat up the connection but that hapens on its own when you melt the soder so new people reading that end up burning holes in there board trying to get it to stick when its unnessasery I think they just say that so they will ruin there stuff and have to pay someboady to do it for them

I know noboady asked but still why pay some guy thats probubley a jerk when you can do it yourself

Fortunately for the local guys around here I'm not a jerk and they love to come back for any future services they might be needing. Believe me, even the most determined do-it-yourselfer can be turned into a quivering pile once they take a look at how small the points really are. Not only that, precision soldering isn't something you learn in a day or two especially if you've never even seen (or heard of) a soldering iron before.
