i found it here and ppl said it was reliable, and i remember seing on it that they replace xbox hardrives for only 40 bucks, or u could even send the xbox to them and pay for a new hardrive and get it put in.. i lost it tho and really want to upgrade my hd... i want to run linux on my xbox (put it to use) and i want to upgrade the hardrive as well. which modchip would be the best for having a new hardrive and running linux? i wanna get the matrix cuz u dont hav to solder. does anyone have experience with upgrading hardrives and would like to do mine??? any thoughts on what mod to get? and how do i tell which ver. of xbox i have? plz help me out!!!!!

i already got a vga monitor to xbox thing from ebay and a controller port to usb adapter, so i dont' want to back out now. i want to be told the cheapst/best for the money modchip that will let me:

    1. WORK WITH LINUX

    2. SUPPORT A HARDRIVE UPGRADE

    ALSO

i have lots of important files on my imac that i want to transfer over to the xbox after hd is upgraded, could i connect the 2 comps with an ethernet cord and run an ftp server on the imac and get what i want on the xbox? the imac is running mac os 9
