help design my store logo.

Okay I'm going to be opening a store here pretty soon and was hoping some of the artistically gifted members here can come up with a good logo for it to be used on shirts, stickers, our store sign, patches or anything else.

the store is going to be called The Game Cave we're going to be buying, selling and trading video games. kind of like what game crazy does but a lot better and we'll be offering cash for games (not just store credit). we'll also plan LAN parties as often as we can.

anyways, I'm hoping for a logo that would go along with the Cave theme with darker colors that allow light colored lettering to stand out.

I also need a basic advertisment for our store, something that would take up an entire television screen (we'll be advertising on TV a little and in our local theatre)

and does anyone know of any good "caveish" fonts?


any help would be wonderful, and if need be I can pay for anything you send me (although I can't pay a whole lot).

good to see you are going through with this Just a thought but in regard to the lan parties, get a router, and a few big hubs, and enough power for the comps, and you could make some serious money just on the lan party side of things Necro is good with photoshop, he's usually to lazy to do it, but I'm putting him on the spot so he may do it...

Hate to sorta get off topic or seem negative, but the name Game Cave sorta reminds me of the business that ran into the ground 5 years ago, GameCave.com. I remember all of the advertising for them in Gamefan magazine as they sold a bunch of import games and anime items. Of course, your name is THE Game Cave, and I guess that is enough to set them apart hehe. Here's to your success. I know I'm interested in the store.

Y'know, you should use some cave sprites from the original Castlevania or Metroid. Make kind of an 8-bit logo. Everyone loves the classics. It's getting late here, so I've got suggestions, but no submissions. I'll play around tomorrow if it sounds interesting to you!

odds are we're not going to be doing any selling online. there's already so many online stores out there that specialize in video games that are sure to sell for cheaper then us anyways.

but if any of you ever come to my town I'd be happy to sell to you at wholesale price.

we'll make a website when we feel we need one and can afford it but untill then we'll stick to doing things offline.

PP, that is so cool! I'd been thinking about doing something like that for PC hardware a while back. Hope it works out for you!

About the LAN parties, make sure to get a switch right behind the router, then let that branch off to a few hubs. This will more evenly distribute that bandwidth. They put nothing but hubs in there at work, and it is a pain when I have to pull 4 or 5 gigs of data from one side to the other. Everyone bitchin' and moaning about the slow down......hehe.

I've got a buttload of fonts I can drop on a CD if you want to PM me an address. About 900 on my machine, and I think I've still got a fonts CD floating around here I could snap a copy of as well.

yeah, we plan on using a bunch of routers with built in switches in them (most likely linksys or D-link) they work well with all the computers and game systems we use to get online where I live.
