I have a Linksys WRT160Nv3 router with a slight issue. It works perfect with stock firmware or DD-WRT (any build) in default mode. Although when I try to assign static IP address under services (in DD-WRT with any build) it causes the DHCP server to fail and any connected device will not obtain a IP address from the router. I can assign static IP's with the stock firmware from Linksys with no issue. I can change any setting with DD-WRT and it will work fine. Just not static IP leases.

Done the 30/30/30 reset in between flashes with no resolution to this problem. any suggestions? I've tried the official forums, but my post has been ignored for a couple weeks now.

Under the services tab, that's where I set the static IP's for the attached devices. (CPU's PS2, PSP, Xbox, Xbox360.)

As for firmware being used right now, I'm using v24-sp2 (04/23/10) mini (build 14311). but it does this too with the newer firmware as well.

me i just give my pc's a static ip address in windows network adapter settings
and force my ps2 to use another setting i think you should be able to do that with all gaming systems, which would just about be the same as what you are trying to do

and if one of the objects listed permanently in the dns is lost(ie. shut off) it can screw the pooch

well, you did point me in the right direction. I can disable it (and it will assign the device the IP. problem is, it won't stay disabled. the setting won't stay saved.
