what are your suggestions on where to register a domain name and where to host it?
I don't have an extreme amount of money and will probably only need it for a year or so. but I'm looking for the most bang for my buck.

i got a server i can host from but i have to figure out how to set it up

i use it for other things but it can spare a few hundred Mb and a few GB/month to host for you
i will pm you with the spec/situation of the server

wow that sounds good, except 98% uptime, that's like 2 weeks downtime in a year lol, that's pretty week man...I would still go with them though
-Thetieger
actully in a 365 day year it's 7.30 days downtime
and on a leapyear its 7.32 days downtime.
that is, of course, if the 98% they say is acurate.

lol my bad, you're right I did 95% instead of 98% for some reason...yeh that's not too bad, I would go with them, it's especially nie to have an actual customer reccommend them..

Wow, yeah, they look good. I was going to use 1and1.com to host my band's site, but I might take them instead. Awesome.
