Id like my mom to make some good food for a change. SO post good things you guys make. Write rough directions and amounts of what to put in and such. This could be a handy thing for everyone to share their yummy things they or their moms make and get new ideas for yummy food. We got alot of chinese and south east asians in here so should be some good asian cuisine ideas, yummy!! Ethnic foods especially , want some yummy ideas. So get crackin, post the best thing your family makes , ow to make it and what to put in it. And I mean real meals, not top ramen lol.

lol.... well one of my fave things has to be lasagne!! I can't give many details of how to make it tho, as I usually make it up as I go... for easiness, I'd suggest you get the pasta strips from a supermarket... my wife usually makes the pasta herself, which is nicer, but not everyone has a pasta press

Cook up some mince, put whatever you like in it, things like onion, capsicum, garlic, herbs, tomato, a sauce if you want to, mushrooms... anything you can think of really. I've had one with corn in it once. Make a cheese sauce (flour, milk, cheese, some seasoning, I'm sure you can find a recipe for is somewhere... I think it gets called a roux by some ppl). In a deep baking dish, put in a layer of pasta, a layer of meet, a layer of cheese sauce, repeat as many times as you like (or can fit) and then finish off with a layer of pasta, layer of cheese sauce, and some grated cheese. Chuck it in the oven until it looks cooked (the meat is already cooked and the rest is nothing that can harm you if it isn't cooked enough). Really nice to have with baked potatoes, baked carrots, cauliflower, etc.

I agree with aussiewan. this was a nice thread but it's been turned into something it wasn't meant for.

C'mon number 17, if you want to talk about the female anatomy so much couldn't you start your own thread instead of screwing up someone elses?
    I HATE metaphorical rain.

so ur lookin for asian stuff huh.... let me think... i'll give you my 2 favorites.

    Filipino Pancit (pun-sit) (noodles)

    ingredients:
2 lbs of any type of meat you like sliced into small pieces(pork, chicken, beef, or even shrimp)
    1 medium onion diced
4 small cloves of garlic, minced
1 lb green beans (french cut style)
    3 cabbage leaves (chopped)
1 medium package of canton noodles (you can find in the asian section of your grocery store, depending on where you live)
    half tsp salt
    half tsp pepper
    2 cups water
    4 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tbsp veggie oil

    directions:
use medium heat for your large frying pan, then add veggie oil. when oil is hot (you can tell it's hot if it's thinner) put in your meat with the onions and garlic and stir until brown. then add salt, pepper, and water. cook meat until tender. add soy sauce, green beans, and carrots, and the cabbage last. add more water if you need to. then add canton noodles and stir until cooked. if you overcook, the noodles will become soggy. serve with white rice or bread.

    > the great thing about this dish is that there are so many ways to change it up, like with different veggies, or different meat, or mixed seafood, and you can even get different noodles. and it won't taste bad if you don't get the exact amount of each ingredient.

i'll post the other recipe a lil later, i gotta get to school now
