    Alright, I box a lot, lift weights, etc, etc...I've been doing it for a while now, and when it comes to doing it almost everyday I'm pretty faithful, but I'm only human. So, lots of times my body isn't hurt/ tired, instead it's usually my mind isn't in the mood. I was wondering if anybody had some good suggestions on things to take for energy (drink, pills, etc) that I could try? BTW: I will mention that I've been through a lot, and I've taken a lot of shit...So, i'm kind of immune to almost everything ....
    A list of things I've tried (maybe it worked at one time, but now I'm immune):
    Red Bull, YJ Stinger, SOBE, Stacker 2 pills, GinkoBiloba, Vivarin (caffeine pills), energy bars, creatine, gatorade to replenish, etc, etc....
    Some of the stuff worked for a while, but like everything your body gets immune to it. The only 2 things that I've found to really work are: Yellow Jacket pills (I believe there taken off the market now though), and I have sinus problems, and I used to take some kind of pill for my sinuses...It kind of made me crazy though. My sinuses do make me tired/ get headaches, but I take stuff for them though, and I don't think that's my problem. Maybe I'm just overworked, and need time to rest, but nows not the time to rest....
    So, any suggestions would be appreciated.

    royal jelly- b12 sublingual-wheatgrass juice try any of those. and also i wanted to say that you should rotate withwhat you take. in other words dont take the same thing for a long time. alternate. o and also the breathing thats the first thing you need to work on. deep abdominal breathing. best regards david.

    Davbere thanks for the suggestions. I'll go try those. What are you talking about as far as breathing goes? I've lifted weights for years, and been boxing for probably about a year..I do warm-ups, but never practiced breathing. Could you explain what I'm suppose to do/ why I'd be doing it?

    Im not 100% on what it is your looking for here?!

    Is there not steroids or something that work really well
    if not a drop off speed would give you a burst of energy for 1-2 hours
    but im not sure what kinda stuff your looking for?!?!
    Im pretty sure you dont take that stuff if memory serves me correct,
    but you did say ANY suggestions.

    I dont really know any other things that would give you energy?!?!

    hey primenal,in regards to breathing, the object is to take slow deep breaths. you can place your hand centered on your navel and start breathing while visualizing the air going down to your navel you should feel some movement under your hand. but not too much.tighten up your stomach just enough so that the area below your navel expands. when you breath out breath out twice as long as when you breathed in. in other words, if it took you 20 seconds to breath in slow down the exhale so that it takes 40 seconds. if you practice this it will become natural, like we're supposed to breath. watch a baby breath,they do it naturaly. the hand is there only so you get the sensation at first.after a couple of minutes do the breathing without the hand. if you want a good rush do the breathing while walking and breath as slow as you can. you probably want to know what this is good for, why bother, well ill tell you it massages your organs, it helps move the blood and fluids. it helps the heart out, by acting kind of like a pump . theres more techniques
    ,but get started with that you can practice anytime you have a moment. and also its very important you breath through your nose. the nose is our first defence against invaders and it prepares the air for our lungs. if you can get the fresh [raw] royal jelly its better. i get mine from chinatown its in the freezer. i hope this helps. david

    Royal Jelly seems to be the go. I find it funny that you spend so much time getting healthy when you're considering taking crack and speed ^_^

    well we all kno that the best thing for breatheing is smokeing cigarettes

    smoke a pack of Camel Lights and ull breathe great :P

    hehe


    But for real id say juss take slow breathes, and breathe thru ur nose that will help alot.

    First, I would never take crack...Second I wouldn't take anything that may make my heart speed up to quite that rate. Even whenever people take diet pills they do not do near the effects of an illegal drug (thus that's why it's illegal).
    Thanks for the advice about breathing though...I'll try it when I got some free time. Thought you were going to tell me to meditate, or do those pregnancy breathing tecniques.
    I'll also goto GNC or something tomorrow if I get the chance and see if I can find that Royal Jelly. BTW: I would never take steroids either...Not because there bad for you so much, but I don't wanna get that much muscle. You can't box if your to big. Plus, I've had a lot of health problems and had to be on medical steroids a couple of times for like 2 weeks....Those pills seriously shouldn't be given to anyone who can walk, or has access to a gun LOL. Those pills made me so angry that I had to be homeschooled while I was on them.
