the forum says i have links in my post but i dont
the forum says i have links in my post but i dont –
im trying to post a tutorial to explain how to use pc mods on fallout 3 GOTY,i hit preview post and it tells me i dont have enough posts to post a link,
there are no links, there strings of text from an ini file but no urls,is there no way i can post this tutorial?
I'm assuming in your tutorial you have ".ini" somewhere in it, yes?
If so, that is the problem. Whatever controls the link blocking for new users thinks file extensions with a "." before it is a link. So I suggest typing "(dot)ini" instead.
the tut relies heavily on modifying the ini file i think i wrote dotini like 40 times.
thanks though ill get to editing and find out.
so wait do i have to do that to all the .esm
and all the .esp as well?
I'd just use your browser's search function and copy and paste (DOT) over every . and it should clear it up
I had to remove every single dot that was not punctuation, little ridiculous that it cant tell a file name from a url. its up though over in the ps3 game modding section.
Your not alone in thinking this whole site is jacked from articles of personal sony rants on the front news page all the way down to operation of the forum. I can't even use the quote feature cause it thinks the syntax of the quote is a link and you can't use links under a 30 post count...
I agree with you on the rants on the front page, but not allowing links if you have under 30 posts prevents this site from being flooded with spam and links to piracy sites. It is for your own protection and to ensure this site isn't shut down
