No one was beeing threatened guichi. People may have been insulted, I know I was for sure. But we are all grown ups, we can take it. We were all just having a discussion on politics. We all have very differing opinions and mostly hate each others views, but no one is hurt in the sharing of them. I think all of us can agree right? I dont mean to stir up anything. Just ticked me a bit cause i wrote like 2 pages of writing, clicked post, then to find that you had closed it, and then i clicked back all the writing was now gone. So ya.

I agree, no one was being threatened in any way. some people like to talk about politics, religion or other contravertial things and sometimes people feel insulted but can't they simply NOT READ the thread if they don't like it?

I mean I can understand if threats were being passed around, but closing it just because of the topic or because someone was insulted? C'mon, we're grown ups here.

Don't you hate it when you write heaps of shit and that happens - happened to me with smily over use not closed thread - but same effect!

By the way - I don't Hate Israel or Americans either - I just like keeping an open mind and helping others do so as well.

Israel does attack civilians as well - they kill families of those who are in charge, they blow up housing blocks that they suspect "might harbour" people they don't like.

The thing is the land was Palestines - then Israel took over a section - and keeps expanding its borders - of course they are going to fight back - but unlike the Israels they are not backed by American money so can attack only via terrorism as they can not afford american gun ship helicotors or tanks etc.

Actually never said that Bush was racist - just that he knew that the majority of black voters would not vote for him.

The problem with the system used was not that people in jail could not vote - it was that anyone in that state who ever had any conviction, ever was not allowed - and then people who never had convictions but had similar names or details were also refused a vote etc, etc.

The funny thing is that Bush himself by that system would not have been allowed to vote as he has had a drink driving offence!

By the way if the system had been counted fairly - i.e. if bush had not gone to the high court when the re-count was proving that he had lost (i.e. actually counting votes that were legitamate) then it would have been proven that he was not actually elected on votes.

Why would you go to the high court to stop a re-count if you had a clear concious and knew you had won??

All a recount would do was to prove this - but he went out of his way to stop the recount when it started to show that he was not actually elected on winning vote numbers.

Personally - I hate liberals in Oz but I think the word is used differently down here. i.e. the liberal party - stands for shit down here.

Yeah Moore may exagerate - but read the book then make comments on the facts - ignore his opinion if you want - as that is after all just his opnion.

BTW I am not basing my comments just on the book - here in Oz we are actually allowed to see documentaries that make comment on what America gets up to that it does not like the rest of the world knowing about.

Yes but unlike The palestians they dont attack with the intention of killing civilians. They do it with the intention of killing people reasonsible for murders. Where as when a Palestinian man staps a bomb to himself, dresses up like an Ulta Orthodox Jew, gets on a bus, and detionates himself, i think its clear what he is dooing . And isreal does it in response to attacks instead of first. I do agree to have peace there they must BOTH make huge comprimises but i doubt itl happen. Also I myself have read the entire Quran, the book of Islam, so I have abit more insight on how these peopel are thinking, lots of which would disturb people. Its very anti jew. Peace is basicaly an impossibility there, they both hate one another, its so ingrained into them its almost a blood thing now. And the palestians pretty much wont be happy untill the jews no longer exist, which wont happen. So ya. There you have it.

By the way, the votes have all been tallied by independent people now and all the ballots have been archived, Bush won florida. Actually I think the people to blame are the ones who didnt vote. I mean we lived in a country where we have such a great right to be able to vote, and a vast amount dont, we have a president who got where he is literally by tens of votes, and to say your vote doesnt count, couldnt be more wrong. SO get out and vote, even if your mega liberal!

It did really piss me off what he said though...He's like "In our minds we are all sinners." or something like that...The bible may say that God doesn't want people to gay, whatever...BUT I don't beleive the President should be using the bible to run America.
