I would be more worried about the other processeses ;- looks like you need a clean pc
I use both and occasionally a couple other browsers here and there. for example, right now i have some browser called rockmelt installed. It's kinda neat for facebook and twitter and stuff but still prefer chrome and firefox.
I find chrome is better for flash personally but I generally use firefox the most.

Mine is using 568 MB of ram right now, and until the other browsers have any chance of matching Firefox addons, then maybe a switch will occur.
There is a problem with your system not firefox. firefox is better than chrome and ie in security. Chrome is faster than firefox and ie but not by much.
Invest is a good antivirus application mate.
