Well, to me, MSN was cool at first, but so many people at school use it now, and act like "crazy hooligans" online, and always ask "what's your e-mail?", i decide not to use it for people i know IRL (unless it's family or friends), but i think i like AIM more than MSN because.. errr... it's not Microsoft! I'm Anti-Microsoft Btw.
I prefer AIM.
I'm going to say Yahoo messenger. I like all the little extras they put in, animated emoticons, the imvironments. the games you can play, the thing where you can draw together.
I do use MSN the most though (just because it's what my Girlfriend prefers to talk on)
but I did meet her through Yahoo messenger so maybe that's why it's my favorite...
AIM is dominative in my area, everyone uses it, i dont know a single person (locally) that uses any other service
its the simplest. easiest, best :)
The best interface for all the IM clients is Trillian, fantastic bit of kit (and includeds animated emoticons Purple Penguin :))
i like aim and winmx, winmx is good for a few reasons which i probably dont need to say to people here

trillian for meh it supports aol msn yahoo and irc does all the job in one
it is like kazaa but a lot better
Yahoo has the best features, but most of my friends only use AIM for chatting and MSN and Yahoo to check their e-mail.

exactly i leave yahoo on 24/7 so i know when i get a email :D
