I got an email from www.gift-stakes.com, saying I won a xbox...I think I might have registered at this site awhile back, not sure.
Anyways, I click on a link inside the email, type in a pass code to redeem my xbox then it opens up another window with some certificates that I have to click yes to view....then it asks for shipping info and says I need to pay shipping/handling to make sure I'm the winner......I was about to pay for shipping/handling when I have to put in my debit info. along with *PIN*, very fishy so I know it must be a scam.
Anyone else ever got this email before?
thanks

I never got an e-mail like that, but anything that asks for your pin number has to be a scam (that's what I think). No place should ever ask about your pin.

i would have put in mixed up numbers and a mixed up pin, but valid looking numbers and see what happens.
