if he doesnt know who Rex/Gazza was in the first place.. i doubt he'll know who channel tech are....

channel tech = messiah team

rex backed the messiah team, he got them off the ground from nothing, to millionaires, then they booted him off the team. so now he doesnt reap the benefits, but he still got a shit load of $$$ before he got kicked out

that explain why he's so cold versus the messiah team/messiah 2 ?
