Hey, I just recently bought a new computer, and I bought a DVD burner with it, made by LG. It's a multi-burner, it can read and write just about every media including DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD-RAM, and all variants of CD. Also, I have a LG CD-ROM Drive.
I have a few questions about it, please bare with me, I don't have much knowledge when it comes to burning.
1)It's called a 'DVD-RAM Recorder' does it affect the way I burn CD's/DVD's?
2)When copying a Audio Original CD, do I put it in the DVD Burner, and the blank media in the CD-Rom drive, or is it reverse? I would say the second option, but I obviously don't know? :)
3)How do I determine the speed of my DVD-RAM drive - In the Nero Info tool it says, "Write speed - 24x" and "Read speed - 32x"
4)I was looking to purchase some media, and I came across this, "Important Note: 4X speed DVD-R media is intended for use with 4X writers. Please contact your hardware manufacturer regarding compatibility of your non-4X DVD-R writer with high speed media." Does this concern myself?
5)What use does the CD-Rom drive serve? Can I use it in anyway for making a copy of a DVD to a DVD, no!? Only when copying a CD until another CD!
6)Is Nero 6 a decent tool, or should I look for something else. I will be making a lot of copies of PS2 games in the near future. Is Nero 6 worthwhile?
