Dual Layer Burner –
hi im relly thinking about buying one of these there so cheap on ebay under $100 for a sony but i want to find out a few things first
1. what would be a good brand to do ps2 games and dvd moives
2. whats the cheapest and best media for moives like princo works great for me now but do they make duel layer disk?
3. can i copy a dvd move stright over with out haveing to rip it same as dvd9 ps2 games?
4. how much dose dual layer dvds usely run?
My advice: Wait. Currently, the only Dual Layer burners can only burn dual laye DVD+Rs, and only at 2.4X. Very soon the new Dual Layer DVD-R drives will be available, and burn at 4X. Save your money, but if you're that hard up you can get a pioneer DVR-108 from newegg for about $78.
I have one, I've never burnt a dual layer DVD+R with it because I can't FIND the damn things except online.
Here's a 5 pack for $50.
Here's a single for $12.
And a Verbatim 3 pack for $34.
Since the damn discs are so expensive, Yet another reason to wait.
If at first you don't suceed, Pull the trigger again.
See bash. See bash run. See bash run GCC. Run, GCC, Run!
yeah i think i will wait then thats relly high for them disk i will just wait to the - duel layers are out and hope there media is cheaper
New drives write DL media at 4x. Pioneer, NEc, Plextor. Unfortunatelly DL media is very expensive compared to SL.
have anyone heard if they will make a combo dual layer that does +r/-r"s?
