Chankast is an advanced SEGA DREAMCAST emulator for x86 platforms.

This project started 3 months ago, it's a joint venture between baktery, unai and garrofi. It hasn't been easy, a lot of hours and headaches, but we think it's time to release an alpha version. We hope you will be surprise, you can play commercial games at a decent speed with a 2ghz CPU. Chankast is a very fast emulator with no hle parts.

We haven't done this emulator to promote piracy, it's a tribute to the great DC.

The emulator is far from perfect, expect new releases with more speed, better graphics, better sound, and more compatibility :)

I got roms. But where to get the bios??

Oh yeah ive googled it but have found nothing. All i know is that is about 2mb

If you have old DC games (backups) lying around will you be able to run it on this emu?

Its currently an alpha. Dunno what games it supports but I want to give it a try. Just dont have a bios file to try it with.

I stopped following the emu scenes a long time ago--still had links to the defunct plasticman site! Some of these links might have some details on the BIOS and stuff. Might be worth looking into:

Used to have an ass of links for RAINE, MAME, various Nintendo and Genesis, but they are all coming up dead now.
