Does anyone know how to cure canker sores?

I have like 5 of them all in my mouth, and it's driving me crazy!!! They hurt so much, i can't stand them! And when they do heal, they come right back. Does anybody know how to cure these? I was told that a lot of Vitamin C helps, but I've been taking 1000mg of it everyday.

sounds like herpies 1 man... its a virus, vitamin c wont' help.. u either have to wait for it to go through its course, or take anti viral medications.. talk to your doctor.. hope i am of any use

basically, a sickness that causes funky lumps all over the place

I don't think it's severe enough to go see a doctor, though. I've been getting these since i was a kid. So are canker sores a kind of 'herpes'.

Maybe they're being caused by the type of mouthwash you use or something.

Yes! That was just what i was thinking. I'm suspecting it's my toothpaste (sensitive gums?), but i dunno. Or it could always be my braces scratching the inside of my mouth?

Wut? lol, I'm only 13! I did some research, and they said to avoid spicy foods. I usually eat a LOT of spicy food, so that might be the problem?
