I just got a package sent to me from the states checked Gift and I got ****ed up the ass with a $23 Customs charge. The thing is, this isn?t even a ****ing purchase I made, but someone returning a damaged PS2 for replacement. A PS2 that apparently was damaged during the original shipping! I wont be doing any more business with anyone from the USA anymore if this is the case. It just isn?t worth it.

If you agree that Canadian customs are a bunch of dirty rotten greedy ****ing crooks then call 1 800 461 9999 and tell them to take their unfair and outrageous rates, handling charges, and week long package holds and shove them straight up there dirty crooked assholes!!!

You're not the only one with this or with similar situation, last year I got a charge of 40 euro for a 20 GB hard disk that was sent back to warranty replacement (of course with RMA). Plus they wanted to charge 25% tax again, when that already was paid in one year earlier at the date of purchese. Of course the whole drive was not worth the price they wanted me to pay. I called about 10 different customs agencies telling my story and got 10 different answers what to do. Of course I disagreed to pay and they sent the drive back. Luckily Maxtor sent the new drive to another EU country where finally I could pick that up without any additional cost.

    regards, Stephen

$23?? What was the declared value from the sender?? It must have been too high. I don't think a used PS2 should be valued any higher than $50 US, possibly less if it's damaged. I was charged $60 CDN once for receiving 2 PS2's that were valued at $400 by the sender (silly), he ended up paying the charge.
