Console-Exploits site Got Hacked or what

i just browsed the site today and its seems there is a hacker team hacked the site or its something else ? can anyone else confirm this ?

Seen it too. Tried to get a hold of cricex, but he leaves AIM running as available and leaves his cpu for god knows how long.

For the last few days people have been trying to break into this site also I been I'll blocking at least two new ips per hour now!

Try clicking on one of the links at the side, looks like the forums have been taken offline and replaced with a hack message.

The only people who can do anything about that are the admins over at that site. Nothing anybody here can do.

I was about to make a thread about this, good thing someone else caught it first. What's going on over there? Did you guys ban someone recently? What kind of an ass hacks a site like Console Exploits? It's like buttering the bathroom floor so your grandma takes a spill. LOL.

The site sits on Apache 2.2.8

I'm thinking it's been hit with a Scalpel.c attack, Local apache/PHP root exploit via libmm (apache-user -> root) temp race exploit. Spawns a root shell from the apache user.

I may very well be wrong but that is my gut instinct.

Nothing anyone can do accept the webmaster & I hope they keep incrimental backups.
