If I didn't beat all of those old games I liked, I would play them again. The Marios, Donkey Kongs, old fighting games, etc. One of my absolute favorite games for SNES was Zombies ate my neighbors as a child. I could NEVER beat that damn game though! I still remember getting to the last level...Which was fraustrating cuz seemed unbeatable.
So, soon as they brought out the emu for ps2, I popped that in, and started playing. To this day I still COULD NOT beat that damn game! I seemed so close to defeating the final boss (a bigass spider), but couldn't do it. So, put on my pc, used some cheats, and come to find out....I was never even half way there to beating his ass! Did finally beat it, using cheats, but otherwise I personally could have never done it
. What a joyous day that was....After like 12 years I finally beat one my favorite games LOL!
Also, love Super Punchout. That definitely got to be one hard game. Comparing the games of the new, and the ones of old is just amazing. Not talking about graphics, but difficulty. Some of the old games are sooooo hard, i'd get so mad I broke one of my controllers. Most of the fighting games, etc were to easy. Seems all the newer games they make take a very long time, but aren't quite as challenging. There's a few games that are ungodfully hard, but if you repeat the level a couple of times you'll win eventually (not the case with old games). I like it this way more though....At least I don't have to blow a blood vessel in my brain.
