About LinkBacksTwo Kern County men are facing hefty lawsuits from filmmakers for allegedly downloading and sharing movies on online movie distribution Web sites.
Columbia Pictures Industries Inc. and Paramount Pictures Corporation filed suit Tuesday against Refugio Verdugo of Bakersfield and Clay Hoggard of Ridgecrestafter the companies tracked them down through Internet sites that allow people to share copies of movies for free.
Motion Picture Association spokesman Chad Giron said the men could pay...

04-18-2005,11:44 PMI think by the time a person gets sued...they probably have shared atleast 5 or more "new" movies....They won't sue you if you don't constantly sharing movies....I think they look for IP addresses and check to see how many time it occur for sharing....
